Alu-Cab Roof Top Tent “THOR” for Toyota Land Cruiser 76, black

The Alu-Cab THOR Roof Conversion has been specifically developed for the Toyota Land Cruiser 76 Series and transforms the vehicle into a capable two-person overland camper with additional living and sleeping space.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 76 is a proven platform for demanding overland travel thanks to its robust construction, off-road capability and reliability.

The THOR Roof Conversion takes only seconds to unlatch and open. Bedding can remain inside the roof when it is closed, allowing the sleeping area to be set up again quickly at your next destination. Solar panels, roof racks and additional equipment can also be mounted on the roof. However, the additional weight and its position should always be taken into account, as a higher roof load can make opening the roof more difficult.

Three large openings with integrated mosquito nets provide good ventilation and clear views of the surroundings while keeping insects out. The rear entrance features a small canopy that provides additional protection from sun and rain. Integrated LED reading lights and interior lighting provide sufficient illumination inside the sleeping area after dark.

The THOR also offers a wide range of options for integrating additional equipment. Universal Bolt-On Side Boxes can be installed by replacing the rear side windows. The vehicle can also be equipped with accessories such as the THOR Kitchen Kit and additional side storage solutions. Integrated MOLLE panels provide further practical mounting and organisation options for travel equipment.

During installation on the Toyota Land Cruiser 76, part of the original vehicle roof is removed to allow the THOR Roof Conversion module to be fitted. The conversion is then attached to the remaining roof structure using the appropriate mounting brackets, while the surrounding areas are sealed with suitable adhesive and sealing materials.

Important: Once the THOR Roof Conversion has been installed, the original vehicle roof cannot be refitted. The conversion is therefore not reversible.

Installation & Important Information

We recommend having the Roof Conversion installed by one of our Alu-Cab Roof Conversion partners. If the installation is carried out by the customer, Genesis Import GmbH accepts no liability for defects or damage resulting from the self-installation. This also applies to consequential damage caused by incorrect or improper installation.

No installation instructions or TÜV documentation are supplied with the Roof Conversion. When purchasing the Roof Conversion, the corresponding waiver included in the appendix must be signed.
