The Alu-Cab RT-2S rooftop tent combines compact closed dimensions with a generous sleeping area for two people. Its short footprint makes it particularly suitable for crossover SUVs, estate cars, pickups and vehicles with limited roof space, while still offering the comfort and equipment expected from a fully featured hard-shell rooftop tent.
Thanks to its symmetrical design, the RT-2S can be installed to open towards either the left or right side of the vehicle, depending on the setup. The hard-shell system also makes opening and closing quick and straightforward, which is especially convenient when changing campsites frequently.
When open, the RT-2S provides a 1364 × 2036 mm sleeping area. The 60 mm high-density foam mattress creates a comfortable sleeping surface, while the robust 280 g/m² blackout fabric helps reduce light inside the tent. Integrated mosquito nets support ventilation while helping to keep insects outside.
For added comfort on the road, the RT-2S features LED interior lighting, USB charging ports and integrated solar preparation. A dedicated opening also allows a suitable heating or air-conditioning solution to be incorporated into the setup.
With closed dimensions of 1471 × 1560 × 369 mm, the RT-2S remains compact on the vehicle. It weighs approximately 79 kg excluding the mattress and ladder, while the fold-out section is rated for loads of up to 150 kg. On suitable vehicles, the compact design can also leave valuable roof space available for additional equipment.
