The Alu-Cab Explorer Canopy is a robust and versatile aluminium solution for pick-up trucks. Its well-designed construction combines convenient access to the load bed with a wide range of mounting and storage options for travel, leisure and professional use.
Two full-length side access doors provide generous access to the load area from both sides of the vehicle. The rear door with its full-width rear window also makes it easier to reach the back of the load bed. The fitted safety glass is E-approved and provides a clear view through the canopy.
Integrated T-tracks inside the canopy offer flexible mounting options for accessories and customised storage solutions. Two C-channels on the roof, together with the integrated roof rails, provide additional mounting points for suitable roof rack systems, awnings, storage boxes and other accessories.
Three integrated LED interior lights help illuminate the load area and make it easier to access equipment in low-light conditions. The walk-on chequer-plate roof features a slip-resistant surface and provides a stable base for suitable roof-mounted equipment and carrier systems.
The aluminium construction is designed for regular use and is suitable for overlanding, camping, trade applications, transport and everyday use. Watertight central locking points, high-quality lever locks and continuous hinges support reliable and practical operation.
The canopy weighs from 52 kg, depending on the vehicle model and configuration. The permissible roof load is up to 200 kg dynamically while driving and up to 400 kg statically when parked. Vehicle compatibility, weight, specification and mounting method vary depending on the pick-up model.
Installation Note
The Alu-Cab Explorer Canopy is supplied with a suitable vehicle-specific mounting kit. Installation is carried out using the designated mounting points on the load bed, existing rails or the vehicle frame.
For a secure installation, the mounting components are designed to connect directly to the load bed. Any existing load bed liner may therefore need to be removed or modified around the mounting points.
Before installation, make sure that the load bed and all vehicle-specific mounting points are freely accessible. Drill-free installation is possible on suitable vehicles. The actual installation time and required work steps depend on the vehicle model, the load bed configuration and any additional accessories fitted.
